The Miller's Prologue and Tale

This is a tale from Geoffrey Chaucer's Canterbury Tales.

The Miller's Prologue is the first 'quite' that occurs in the tales. To 'quite' someone is to mock them in a satirical way. The Knight tells a perfectly noble tale and the Miller begins to mock him.
