Canadians who opted to stay home with the TV on New Year's Eve were in good company. 22 Minutes regulars; Cathy Jones, Rick Mercer, Greg Thomey and Mary Walsh who dropped in to holler out the old and howl in the new included Dakey Dunn, Joe Crow, Connie Bloor and Marg Delahunty. Also present, Jean Chrétien, Alexa McDonough and Brian Mulroney, with musical guests Trooper helping everyone "Raise a Little Hell" (See Video Clip).
