Totalisator
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia.

A totalisator is a type of calculating machine used in parimutuel gambling until the introduction of computerised equipment. The first was installed in 1913, and they came into widespread use at race courses throughout the world. The term "tote board" for the display of odds is short for "totalisator".
