The Tyne Tunnel is a two-lane toll tunnel under the River Tyne, England which forms part of the A19. It joins Jarrow on the south side to Howdon on the north.
The tunnel was completed in the late 1960s and is accompanied by a narrower pedestrian tunnel alongside it.
