Ulysses 31 is a Japanese-French anime series about the Greek and Roman mythology of a man named Ulysses (or Odysseus) set in the thirty-first centuary, produced by DiC Entertainment.
The gods are angered when Ulysses kills the giant Cyclops to rescue the children and his son. Ulysses is then sentenced to travel the universe with his crew frozen until he finds the Kingdom of Hades at which point his crew will be revived and he will be able to return to Earth.
Main characters
Ulysses - main character and captain of the Odyssey
Telemachus - son of Ulysses and second in command for most of the voyage
Numinor - older brother of Yumi, in suspended animation for most of the series
Yumi - younger sister of Numinor, with telepathic powers
No-No - robot companion of Telemachus, fond of nails
Zeus - god of gods, Ulysses's persecutor
