The preferred current term is Urban caving, 'spelunker,' a U.S. English term, having developed an amateurish connotation. A building hacker. Usually unauthorized explorer of steam tunnels, attics, air shafts, basements, abandoned buildings or military installations, and other areas generally off-limits to the public.
