USS Bonefish

Two submarines of the United States Navy have been named USS Bonefish for the bonefish, which is a name for the ladyfish, dogfish, and sturgeon.

• The first USS Bonefish (SS-223) was lost during World War II.
• The second USS Bonefish (SS-582) was wrecked by a fire in 1988.
