Three ships of the United States Navy have been named USS Midway, the first after Midway Atoll, the second and third in memory of the Battle of Midway.
- The first Midway (AG-41) was the Oritani and then the Tyree before being chartered as a general auxiliary in 1942, renamed to Panay in 1943, and returned to her owner in 1946.
- The second Midway (CVE-63) was an escort aircraft carrier commissioned in 1943, renamed St. Lo one week later, and sunk in the Battle of Leyte Gulf one year later.
- The third Midway (CV-41) was an aircraft carrier commissioned just after the end of World War II, and in service until 1992. The carrier is expected to become a museum ship in San Diego, California.
