VSS Vintorez
The VSS 'Vintorez' or Vinovka Snaiperskaja Spetsialnaya (Special Sniper Rifle) is a specialy designed silenced Russian sniper rifle. The weapon fires subsonic 9mm ammo, specifically the SP-5 ammunition or SP-6 ammunition. While having a shorter range then many sniper rifles, the stealth of silenced fire and stopping power of the round make it ideal in many circumstances. In use since the 1980's, the rifle has seen action in various places, most notably in Chechnya against the terrorist rebels there.
