Wars between England and France

There have been many wars between England (or Britain) and France (or Normandy), mainly due to the close proximity of the two countries. Despite the fact that Britain had an Empire it had no immediately apparent reason to attack France -- most of these wars stem from French attacks on the other side of the channel. Here is a list of them :

• The Norman Conquest of 1066.
• The Stephen and Matilda conflict.
• The Hundred Years War which was in fact several Wars-included Orleans.
• The Armada Invasion -- the French sided with Phillip II of Spain.
• The Napoleonic Invasion.
• The Seven Years' War (1756-1763).
