Wilde Film on Oscar Wilde starring Stephen Fry based on biographical notes by [[Richard Ellmann/].
The film begins in the early eigthies when O.W. comes back from lecturing in America. It describes his marriage, his wit, his homosexuality and his popularity; shows his downfall on the homosexual scandal and ends with Wilde and Lord Alfred Douglas meeting after Wilde has left prison.
It's frankness about Wildes homosexuality, together with love-scenes, has made the film somewhat famous.
