William Brockman Bankhead

William Brockman Bankhead (1874 - 1940) was an American politician from Alabama. He served in the United States House of Representatives from 1917 to 1940 and as Speaker of the House of Representatives from 1936 to 1940. He was a member of the Democratic Party.
