Windermere

Windermere is a town in Cumbria, England, lying above Lake Windermere. Bowness, is the older, lakeside area of the town (not to be confused with Bo'ness in Scotland). The town possesses a couple of museums, but the main draw for its many tourists is the lake. Ferries from the town's piers sail around the lake, many calling at Ambleside or Sawrey.
