• A Chinese family name
• The Xia Dynasty
• The majority ethnic group later knowned as the Han Chinese after the Han Dynasty. Refer to Huaxia.
• The "Empire" of Xia of the Hunnic Tiefu.
• The Xia regime by Dou Jiande during the turbulent transition from the Sui Dynasty to the Tang Dynasty.
• The Western Xia of the Tanguts.
