Zelda II: The Adventure of Link, a video game, is the second installment in The Legend of Zelda series for the Nintendo Entertainment System. Instead of the original overhead view in its predecessor, it featured a RPG-style world map and side-scrolling levels, along with a side-scrolling action-based battle system and RPG-like character growth. Interaction with other characters was possible, among other things. The plot is similar to the first game: save Princess Zelda, who has fallen into a deep sleep. Many Zelda fans believed that this Zelda game comes last in story order. The palace theme from the game was remixed for the GameCube game Super Smash Bros. Melee.
