Zone (band)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia.

Zone is a JPop band started in Sapporo, Japan in 1999, then become a hit in 2000 with their single Good Days. Zone is categorized in a new genre called the 'bandol' (band + idol).

Zone started off as Takayo plus seven other dancers, then eventually reduced to four members. After becoming popular, the four girls learned to play their own instruments to complement their singing and dancing.

In late 2003, Takayo announced her leave of Zone to focus on studying. Zone quickly recruited a new member, Tomoka, who was most likely one of the original eight members of the dance unit that Zone once was.
